HLT55118 – Diploma of Dental Technology

This qualification reflects the role of a dental technician responsible for construction and repair of dentures and other dental appliances including crowns, bridges, partial dentures, pre- and post-oral and maxillofacial surgical devices, and orthodontic appliances.

Dental technicians work in dental laboratories on their own or in groups, under the prescription of dentists, dental prosthetists or dental specialists.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

The training is split between a structured classroom environment and essential clinical training. So much of your career requires practical experience, which is why we have structured our course to deliver as much clinical practice as possible. All the clinical training is delivered in our state of the art lab with all the advanced equipment to gain the vital practical experience.

Credit Transfer/Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
Blue Bay College recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs. Blue Bay College will accept and mutually recognise the qualifications and Statements of Attainment awarded by any other registered training organisation unless precluded by licensing requirements. We can also grant you Credit Transfer for subjects or units you have completed where equivalence can be established between the unit in your course, and the subject or unit you have completed.
